Exciting things for WGI 2016

Its only two more days till one of the biggest events in colorguard history will go down. WGI Colorguard Championships will be going down this Thursday - Saturday, April 7-9  and I will be watching for every second with the WGI live stream. Today, I wanted to talk about what I'm super excited for that's about to go down this weekend.

10. Big Tosses

For the past two decades, Teams have been going for the biggest, cleanest, and most unique tosses in all of colorguard history. With the syncopation of teams like Tarpons Springs, Carmel, and Miamisburg,  the cleanliness of Fantasia, Cypress, SCV, and the daring visuals of Onyx, Flanagan, diamante, and James Logan, what will be the next big adventure this season, will they reach new heights and defy gravity, toss clean tosses with some of the biggest combinations of work under, or bring something new the to the WGI floor.

9. Props

 

WGI has been the home of many of the biggest and most extravagant props that ever graced the floor and these props bring out the show the more and more every time.  so, what about this year? Will they move? Will they light up? All we want to know is will the props make more and more of a  bigger appearance in guard this year and I really believe they will.

 

 

 

8. Unique Themes

 

In the Guard world, you mostly see the same type of shows through out the circuits but I recently start noticing how some group are switching up from your typical sad song that everyone does to something clever and never been done before. Uniqueness is what makes colorguard what it is today.

 

 

 

7. New guards





 

 

 

A lot of the same  guards make to championships every year, but this year there are more guard coming from across the countries to come and perform and WGI for the first time and its pretty amazing to see groups from places like Canada or even some states like  Louisiana compete in the world and independent classes.

 

 

6. Audience



 

The audience itself is make you fell amazing inside. When you hear the roar of a great toss you get the chilling sensation as if you were at the super bowl half-time show with Beyoncé performing. Its literally a Breath taking moment to be around people who love colorguard as much as you do.
