GUARD LOVE

"When all is said and done, it is NOT about what 5 strangers with a tape recorder and a score sheet think about you. You are worth so much more than that. It is about working together to achieve something you weren't sure was possible. It is about lifting each other up to build something you can be proud of together. It is about facing pressure with fierceness. Conquering fears with grace. Being there for each other.   Whatever trophies you win, they will sit on the shelf in the band hall long after you graduate and move on. The experiences and the memories are what you will take with you and keep close to your heart forever.  You cannot control the outcome but you can control the experience. Make the most of our rehearsal time on Friday so we can enjoy our experience on Saturday. Love and enjoy each other and make happy memories that you can look back on with happiness as you move forward. "

 

 

How this speaks so much Volume!!!!! this literally needs to be told to a lot of guards out there . Yes, winning does feel great but, its not about winning. Guard brings us together for better or for worse, whether your team wins o lose, its about just getting out there and telling the story with your teammates, not winning. This needs to be shared with every guard group out there.
